The Sanjhi and Paper-cutting Artwork Meena displays are a result of major influences in life. As a kid she travelled all over the country with her parents. The architecture of the various temples she visited, which were carved to perfection, would always leave her awestruck. Her belief in the higher forces, is thus displayed in various pieces that she has tried to recreate, with a hope to make people aware of this art form. The works are shaped by childhood memories and reflect the complexities and troubles of modern society. Her belief is that there is more truth in black and white, than in color. each of her artwork, therefore, tries to get across a story which she feels was waiting to be heard. If through her efforts, she can get across to people, the magic of the past and the stories that she wants to be heard, she will consider it a job well done.
